Last Season: Won STAC West division. Defeated Susquehanna Valley in Semi-final, lost to Vestal in STAC Championship. Defeated Elmira to win Section IV Class AAA Championship. Defeated North Rockland (I) in Regional Final, Saratoga Springs (II) in Semi-final, and Fairport (V) to win NYSPHSAA State Championship.
Elmira Express (Class AAA)
Head Coach: Tammy Woodard, 5th year (20+ overall)

Team Goals: We return almost the entire runner-up Section IV Class AAA team from last year, as we only lost one senior. This year our goals are to be competitive in every game, be more aggressive at the plate, focus to eliminate mental errors, and know the role that you play on the team and how it supports the overall effectiveness of the team.
Last Season: Finished 3rd in STAC West division. Lost to Corning in Section IV Class AAA Championship.
Horseheads Blue Raiders (Class AA)
Head Coach: Paul Richmond, 3rd year (20+ overall)

Team Goals: Play the toughest schedule we can and gain experience for the postseason! We want to be at our best when it counts most.
Last Season: Finished 2nd in STAC West division. Defeated Union-Endicott in Semi-final, lost to Vestal in Section IV Class AA Championship.

Team Goals: Consistently give maximum effort each day, competing with unity and purpose. By staying focused and present in every game, we aim to build the foundation for a strong postseason run. We want to have a season that we can take pride in how we play, and who we are.
Last Season: Finished 4th in STAC Metro division. Did not qualify for sectionals.
Maine-Endwell Spartans (Class A)
Head Coach: Karleigh Pulver, 6th year (7th overall)

Team Goals: Lean on each other, grow our softball IQ, and get better every day.
Last Season: Finished 3rd in STAC Metro division. Won Section IV Class A Championship via cancellation. Lost to Marlboro (IX) in NYSPHSAA Regional Final.
Union-Endicott Tigers (Class AA)
Head Coach: Griffin McIver, 1st year (8th overall)
Key Players: Morgan Ashman (sr.), Dominika Diaz (sr.), Maryn Morse (jr.), Jade Taylor (sr.), Gianna Gennarelli (soph.), Aliza Post (sr. – injured and out for the season)
Team Goals: Get better every day, better people, better teammates, and better competitors. Win each moment we are on the field. Our goal is to compete for STAC Metro division, STAC, and Section IV Class AA Championships.
Last Season: Finished 2nd in STAC Metro division. Lost to Horseheads in Section IV Class AA Semi-final.
Vestal Golden Bears (Class AA)
Head Coach: Vickie Sax, 16th year (40th overall)

Team Goals: Build today to dominate tomorrow! We have a lot of youth in the program, and we are looking forward to competing for a repeat STAC Championship, and beyond.
Last Season: Won STAC Metro division. Defeated Chenango Valley in Semi-final and Corning to win STAC Championship. Defeated Horseheads to win Section IV Class AA Championship. Defeated Minisink Valley (IX) in Regional Final, lost to Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (II) in NYSPHSAA State Semi-final.
Central
Chenango Forks Blue Devils (Class B)
Head Coach: Ann Marie Pagano, 7th year (13th overall)

Team Goals: Keep it simple! Work hard, communicate, and have fun every day!
Last Season: Finished 4th in STAC Central division. Defeated Lansing in First Round, lost to Edison in Section IV Class B Quarterfinal.
Chenango Valley Warriors (Class A)
Head Coach: Paige Rauch, 1st year

Team Goals: Win the Section IV Class A Championship and have a successful playoff run. Be a Scholar-Athlete team.
Last Season: Won STAC Central division. Lost to Vestal in STAC Semi-final. Lost to Windsor in Section IV Class B Quarterfinal.
Owego River Hawks (Class A)
Head Coach: Emily Crawford, 2nd year
Key Players: Carsten Crawford (jr./P), Miley Laubach (jr./C), Maia Smith (sr./INF), Lexi Cheeseman (sr./OF), Josylnn Space (fresh./UT), Geneva Crawford (8th grade/C, UT), Ava Leonard (sr.), Audrionna Howe (sr.)
Team Goals: Make a run back at the Section IV Class A Championship game. With a core group of upperclassmen to lead the way and solid pitching, we should be competitive in every game. A solid group of youngsters coming up through JV as well will continue to power the Owego softball program for years to come.
Last Season: Finished 3rd in STAC Central division. Advanced to Section IV Class A Championship, but did not participate due to lack of players, forcing a cancellation.
Seton Catholic Saints (Class C)
Head Coach: Katie Basile, 3rd year
Key Players: Shannon Mentz (sr.), Olivia Nazarenus (fresh.), Megan Mentz (soph.), Olivia Delviscio (sr.)
Team Goals: With only two upperclassmen, we will have a very young team with several 7th-10th graders. Our goal is to stay healthy and improve every day.
Last Season: Finished 5th in STAC Central division. Lost to Southern Cayuga in Section IV Class C First Round.
Waverly Wolverines (Class B)
Head Coach: Brent Doane, 2nd year
Key Players: Brinn Cooney (sr.), Hannah Carpenter (soph.), Maddie Cron (jr.), Meghan Apgar (sr.), Makayla Esau (sr.), Delaney Wheeler (jr.)
Team Goals: Losing our #1 pitcher to graduation, we are hoping to remain in the “hunt” for sectional playoffs.
Last Season: Finished 2nd in STAC Central division. Lost to Sidney in Section IV Class B Quarterfinal.
East
Norwich Purple Tornado (Class A)
Head Coach: Joe Cirigliano, 5th year

Team Goals: Get better each day! Work hard and make our teammates work to become better on and off the field. Making sectionals is always a team goal.
Last Season: Finished 4th in STAC East division. Did not qualify for sectionals.
Oneonta Yellowjackets (Class B)
Head Coach: Randy Brockway, 18th year

Team Goals: Be competitive from the start of the season. Build team chemistry and build confidence among our freshman group. Help the team find the passion and desire that Oneonta softball is all about!
Last Season: Finished 3rd in STAC Metro division. Lost to Windsor in Section IV Class B First Round.
Susquehanna Valley Sabers (Class B)
Head Coach: Karen Bidwell, 24th year (31st overall)
Key Players: LilliOnna D'Introno (jr./P), Danica LaBarre (jr./C), Kylee Richardson (jr./SS), Julia Ricci (sr./1B), Kiana Cipolla (fresh./OF, 2B), Rianne Moelder (fresh./CF), Norah Schneider (sr./3B), Ava Kariam (8th grade/OF, 2B), Olivia Hughes (fresh./OF), Amelia Frisbie (fresh./OF, C)
Team Goals: We always strive to play to our highest potential; with seven returning starters and a few talented newcomers, we should have a strong showing in Class B. Our first goal always is to win the STAC East division, and then Section IV Class B. We obviously hope to make it beyond sectionals as well, but we play one game at a time, focusing our best efforts on the game at hand.
Last Season: Won STAC East division. Lost to Corning in STAC Semi-final. Defeated Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour in Quarterfinal, Sidney in Semi-final, and Edison to win Section IV Class B Championship. Lost to Marcellus (III) in NYSPHSAA Regional Final.
Windsor Black Knights (Class B)
Head Coach: Mike Kuratnick, 1st year
Key Players: Ashlee Hagerman (sr.), Emily Flagg (soph.), Addyson Guarino (jr.)
Team Goals: Make it into sectionals, then to the Section IV Class B Championship game.
Last Season: Finished 2nd in STAC East division. Defeated Oneonta in First Round and Chenango Valley in Quarterfinal, lost to Edison in Section IV Class B Semi-final.
