Team Goals: The team returning has some experience and we will fill around it with some strong youth in the program. We have an extremely ambitious schedule again this fall, with the goal of being prepared for postseason play.
Last Season: Finished 3rd in STAC West division. Lost to Ithaca in Section IV Class AAA Semi-final.
Elmira Express (Class AAA)
Head Coach: Derek Hamilton, 16th year (22nd overall)
Key Players: Dominic Capilli (sr./Forward), Chase Christian (sr./Defender, Forward), Hayden Rolls (sr./Midfield), Dom Romeo (sr./Defender), Nolan Kennedy (jr./Midfield), Chase Smith (sr./Midfield)
Team Goals: Our team goals include a 3rd straight Section IV Class AAA Title; however, STAC West has consistently been the top soccer division in the conference over the past few years and every match is important in the race for the division title. With 12 seniors on the roster, the group is experienced and brings high expectations with them into every season. The Express has won 40 matches over the past 4 seasons and 10 of the current players have been on the roster for the last two sectional titles.
Last Season: Won STAC West division. Tied Oneonta in STAC Semi-final. Did not advance to STAC Championship due to losing in penalty kicks. Defeated Ithaca to win Section IV Class AAA Championship. Lost to Guilderland (II) in NYSPHSAA Class AAA Regional Final.
Horseheads Blue Raiders (Class AA)
Head Coach: Mark Mucci, 15th year (20th overall)
Key Players: Brayden Spier (sr./Forward), Mason Earl (soph./Forward), Connor Miele (soph./Midfield), Dominic Wood (sr./Center Back), Keenan McCarthy (jr./Wing)
Team Goals: We are looking to build off the success that we had at the end of last season and continue to grow as individuals and as a team. We played several matches last season, starting three freshmen and three sophomores. We are looking for these players to build on that experience and play at a higher level this season. This team has good chemistry, heart, and hustle, and we expect to do great things and compete for a Section IV Class AA Championship.
Last Season: Finished 4th in STAC West division. Did not qualify for sectionals.
Ithaca Little Red (Class AAA)
Head Coach: Jonathan Billing, 5th year (18th overall)

Team Goals: Give up as few goals as possible, win the section, and still play soccer together in November.
Last Season: Finished 2nd in STAC West division. Defeated Corning in Semi-final, lost to Elmira in Section IV Class AAA Championship.

Binghamton Patriots (Class AA)

Team Goals: Repeat as Section IV Class AA Champions and win the Mayor’s Cup.
Last Season: Finished 3rd in STAC Metro division. Defeated Vestal to win Section IV Class AA Championship. Lost to Cornwall (IX) in NYSPHSAA Class AA Regional Final.
Maine-Endwell Spartans (Class A)
Head Coach: Beau Brinsko, 11th year (20th overall)

Team Goals: Represent Section IV in the State Tournament.
Last Season: Won STAC Metro division. Defeated Chenango Forks in Semi-final and Oneonta to win STAC Championship. Defeated Norwich to win Section IV Class A Championship. Defeated New Hartford (III) in Regional Final, lost to East Aurora (VI) in NYSPHSAA Class A State Semi-final.
Union-Endicott Tigers (Class AA)
Head Coach: Ted Hudock, 5th year (26th overall)

Team Goals: Continue to build on what we started to learn last season – 5 wins in last 7 games and return all but two starters from that run. That should lead us into Sectionals for the first time in two seasons.

Vestal Golden Bears (Class AA)
Head Coach: Dave Barr, 14th year (30+ overall)

Team Goals: Get the STAC and Sectional IV Class AA Championships back to Vestal. Then, make a serious run in the postseason.

Chenango Valley Warriors (Class B)

Team Goals: Have fun, grow as team, move the ball, handle bigger, faster, powerful teams. Understand ourselves by the time postseason arrives and see what we can do.
Last Season: Finished 2nd in STAC Central division. Defeated Lansing in Quarterfinal, Chenango Forks in Semi-final, and Oneonta to win Section IV Class B Championship. Defeated Ogdensburg (X) in Regional Final, lost to LaFayette (VI) in NYSPHSAA Class B Regional Final.
Johnson City Wildcats (Class A)
Head Coach: Danijal Brkovic, 2nd year

Team Goals: Our main goal this season is to be better than last season. We are not a team with very high expectations. We don’t have a big roster of players, but we are doing everything to be better day by day. Hopefully we get some wins in this year. That would be amazing, especially after the first win, then we can boost our confidence up.
Last Season: Finished 5th in STAC Metro division. Did not qualify for sectionals.
Owego River Hawks (Class A)

Seton Catholic Saints (Class C)

Team Goals: The team is eying a repeat of last season with a run at States.
Last Season: Finished 3rd in STAC Central division. Defeated Unatego/Franklin in Quarterfinal, Greene in Semi-final, and tied Marathon to win Section IV Class C Championship. Advanced to state tournament due to winning in penalty kicks. Defeated Bishop Ludden (III) in Regional Final, lost to Wilson (VI) in NYSPHSAA Class C State Semi-final.
Waverly Wolverines (Class B)
Head Coach: Jon Rankin, 3rd year (6th overall)

Team Goals: Play as a unit on both sides of the ball, play 80 mins, and peak in playoffs.
Last Season: Won STAC Central division. Lost to Maine-Endwell in STAC Semi-final. Defeated Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton/Harpursville in Quarterfinal, lost to Chenango Valley in Section IV Class B Semi-final.
Norwich Purple Tornado (Class A)
Head Coach: Michael Oberg, 2nd year
Key Players: Wyeth Stafford (sr.), Collin Reid (sr.), Andrew Mirabito (sr.), James Sprague (jr.), Brady Perry (jr.)
Team Goals: This season, Norwich soccer wants to improve on the momentum they had last season. With eight returning starters for 2026 and with players joining the roster for this season, the momentum the first week of practice has definitely carried over. Norwich is looking to get the varsity program to finish this season with an over .500 record.
Last Season: Finished 4th in STAC East division. Lost to Maine-Endwell in Section IV Class A Championship.
Oneonta Yellowjackets (Class B)

Defeated Union Springs/Port Byron in Quarterfinal. Tied Susquehanna Valley in Semi-final. Advanced to Section IV Class B Championship due to winning in penalty kicks. Lost to Chenango Valley in Section IV Class B Championship.
Susquehanna Valley Sabers (Class B)
Head Coach: Jay Vimislik, 10th year (16th overall)

Last Season: Finished 2nd in STAC East division. Defeated Spencer-Van Etten/Candor in Quarterfinal. Tied Oneonta in Semi-final. Did not advance to Section IV Class B Championship due to losing in penalty kicks.
Windsor Black Knights (Class B)
Head Coach: Steve Miller, 8th year

Team Goals: Continue developing our young but talented team. We may be a young team, but we have toughness, determination, and fight to compete with anyone in the league. Our main goal is to win sectionals.
